Register ViewΒΆ
The SmartRF Studio Register View allows the operator to view and modify individual registers of a Texas Instruments RF device. It is integrated in the Device Control Panel , but may be undocked and moved around the screen independently. The operator can hide and show the Register View by clicking on the Reg.View button or use the F6 shortcut. Register settings can be exported to text files and likewise imported. The Register View also provides a Code Export function for generating C-language code snippets which reflect the chosen register settings.
It is recommended that you always begin the configuration with the Device Control Panel , and then modify individual entries in the Register View to suit your needs.
The Register View displays registers either as complete entities or individual bitfields. Registers and bitfields may be modified independently. Modifications are immediately transferred to the RF device when one is connected. The Register View employs color coding to indicate where the latest change to a register or a bitfield originated. Recently changed registers are always shown in bold typeface. Registers and bitfields which are read-only are shown in gray typeface.
Note: Double-clicking on the name of a register or a bitfield causes an explanatory dialogue to appear.
