Template collection

Please check below template files of popular boards to be used with the FT_Prog utility to program the FTDI device.

Thorough documentation about the use of the FT_Prog utility can be found at the FTDI Utilities page.

  1. If your board is not recognized by the OS, install the appropriate FTDI D2XX driver
  2. Install the the FT_PROG utility. It requires the Microsoft .NET 4.0 support installed.
  3. Download and unzip the appropriate template from the list below.
  4. Connect the USB cable between the PC and the target board.
  5. Open FT_PROG and go to menu DevicesScan and Parse (or press F5) to refresh the list of connected FTDI devices.
  6. Right click on the device and select Erase Device. Tip: to avoid confusion and erasing the wrong adapter, keep only one connected at a time.
  7. Right click on the device and choose Apply TemplateFrom File and choose the corresponding .xml downloaded in step 3.
  8. Right click on the device and choose Program Device (or press Ctrl+P) to write the template to the device.
  9. Reset board by unplugging and re-plugging the USB cable.
