Proprietary physical layer

The proprietary PHY is the most common physical layer for Sub-1 GHz radio communication. It is available on the CC1310, CC1350 and CC2650. The CC1310 supports only Sub-1 GHz while the CC2650 can only operate at 2.4 GHz. The CC1350 can operate in both frequency bands. The proprietary PHY specifies the following major operation modes:

Generic GFSK Mode:  Recommended operation mode. Uses a binary Gaussian Frequency Shift Keying (GFSK) modulation scheme. Characterized for bitrates between 2.4 kbps and 500 kbps. No Manchester encoding (1 Bit = 1 Symbol). Long-Range Mode (LRM):  Uses Direct-Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS). Characterized for 625 bps.
