FAQ-080729-5

How can I share a configuration between Eclipse IDE projects?

If you will have multiple Eclipse IDE projects that will use the same RTSC configuration, we recommend that you follow these steps to share the configuration:

  1. Create a "Configuration-only project" that contains only the *.cfg file for the RTSC configuration. To do this, follow the steps in RTSC+CCStudio v4 QuickStart to create a new project. However, in the "Project Settings" page, put a checkmark in the Treat as a Configuration-only project box.
  2. Add the XDCscript configuration file (only) to the project.
  3. Build the project.
  4. Create another project. This time, make it a RTSC-enabled project but do not check the Treat as a Configuration-only project box.
  5. In the Additional Project Settings page, put a checkmark next to your configuration-only project.
  6. Continue creating the project. This time, add the source file(s) but not the XDCscript configuration file.
  7. Build and test the project.
