UIA 2.40.00.06 GA Release Notes
Introduction
UIA 2.40.00.06 is a GA of uia 2.40.00. CCS users must use CCSv8.3.0 or higher.

What’s New
UIA 2.40.00.06 GA Release (this release).
- Add support for 64-bit targets (Cortex-A53). LoggerStopMode, LoggerRunMode, and LoggerStreamer2 now support 64-bit targets. Code Composer Studio version 8.3 or higher is required for 64-bit target support.
- This version of UIA removes support for MSP430, C64P and C66 big endian targets.

Versioning
All releases have 4 digits (M.mm.pp.bb). This includes GA and pre-releases (engineering, alpha/EA, beta, etc.). Pre-releases are denoted with a suffix (e.g. 2.01.01.02-eng or 2.01.01.02-beta).
This product’s version follows a version format, M.mm.pp.bb, where M is a single digit Major number, mm is 2 digit minor number, pp is a 2 digit patch number, and bb is an unrestricted set of digits used as an incrementing build counter.
To support multiple side-by-side installations of the product, the product version is encoded in the top level directory (e.g. uia_2_01_00_01).
Subsequent releases of patch upgrades will be identified by the patch number, ex. UIA 2.01.02.04 with directory uia_2_01_02_04. Typically, these patches only include critical bug fixes.
