TI Wireless Solar Management System 2.41.00.00 Release Notes
Table of Contents
Introduction
Wireless Solar Management System is an open, standards-based IPv6 Sub-1GHz mesh networking protocol designed for robust self-healing and secure networks with low join times and message latency. The network typically consists of line powered nodes and gateways or base devices.
In WSMS, the 6LoWPAN, RPL, IPv6, ICMPv6 and UDP layers have been adapted from open source components.
Key Features
- WSMS example for network processor (NWP) mode base device
- Embedded WSMS node example for single chip solution
- SPINEL based NWP interface over UART for NWP example
- Python based Interface examples provided as part of TI Git Hub
Documentation
The SimpleLink Low Power F2 Software Development Kit (SDK) allows easier product development by combining RTOS and WSMS in one unified SDK. Key documents needed for application development include:
Installation and Usage
- To build the sample applications with this SDK a supported IDE must be installed (refer to Dependencies below)
- Install the simplelink_cc13xx_cc26xx_sdk_7_41_00_xx installer package on a supported host operating system build machine with Administrator privileges
- The default install path for Windows is C:\ti\simplelink_cc13xx_cc26xx_sdk_7_41_00_xx
- Changing the default install path and/or drive letter may require updating project variables. Do not use a space in the install path
- It is recommended to make a backup of the installation in order to revert modifications to the SDK
