Proprietary physical layer

The proprietary PHY is the most common physical layer for Sub-1 GHz radio communication. It is available on the CC13x0, CC13x2, CC2640R2 and CC2650. The CC1310 and CC1312 supports only Sub-1 GHz while the CC2640R2 and CC2650 can only operate at 2.4 GHz. The CC1350 and CC1352 can operate in both frequency bands. The proprietary PHY specifies the following major operation modes:

Generic GFSK Mode:
Recommended operation mode. Uses a binary Gaussian Frequency Shift Keying (GFSK) modulation scheme. Characterized for bitrates between 2.4 kbps and 500 kbps. No Manchester encoding (1 Bit = 1 Symbol).
Long-Range Mode (LRM):
Uses Direct-Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS). Characterized for 625 bps.
