Introduction

TI 15.4-Stack is an IEEE 802.15.4e/g based software stack part of the SimpleLink CC13x0 SDK that supports a Star network topology for Sub-1GHz applications. TI 15.4-Stack software runs on TI’s SimpleLink™ Sub-1GHz wireless microcontrollers, including the CC1310 and CC1350. Devices running TI 15.4-Stack offer key benefits, such as longer range in the FCC band and better protection against in-band interference through use of WiSun based frequency hopping, ability to send BLE beacons while operating on Sub1GHz TI 15.4-Stack network when using dual-band CC1350. TI 15.4-Stack provides a complete end-to-end wireless application development solution to reduce time and cost of getting your product to market quickly.

What’s New

ID Summary
TIMAC-1192 Added support for latest wireshark release v2.2.1
SDKSYSAPPS-22 Added support for Over the Air Download using TI-15.4 Stack

Fixed Issues

ID Summary
TIMAC-1535 Updated to use the latest coreSDK version 3-20-00-17
TIMAC-1518 Sensor example application start time is randomized for all modes to handle the case where large number of sensors are starting at the same time and attempting to join the network at the same time. Reduced OTA traffic and load on PAN coordinator.
TIMAC-1508 Fixed an issue where function macCmdIncludeFHIE() was is in the project even when FH is disabled.
TIMAC-1488 Fixed the issue where Board_Palna_initialize gets called when CONFIG_RANGE_EXT_MODE=APIMAC_NO_EXTENDER
TIMAC-1486 Fixed a rare issue in Frequency Hopping mode where an error could cause the radio operations to halt until reset.
TIMAC-1485 Fixed an issue which prevented dynamic power change using the API ApiMac_mcpsDataReq()
TIMAC-1484 Removed “MODULE_CC13XX_7X7” from mac_user_confic.c. The implementation in file mac_user_config.c is not package type dependent
TIMAC-1479 Fixed the issue that the device disassociation on the sensor example application does not work when button 1 is pressed.
TIMAC-1478 Fixed the issue that the function removeTheFirstDevice() on collector example application does not work
TIMAC-1477 In collector example application optimized function Cllc_removeDevice() to stop the loop after desired device has been found
TIMAC-1476 Fixed the issue where wrong function identifier addBlackListItem() was getting called instead of Csf_addBlackListItem() in function removeTheFirstDevice() csf.c
TIMAC-1471 Enabling compile flag POWER_MEAS now removes UART, LCD and other functionality to allow measuring power without peripheral power being added into measurements
TIMAC-1466 Fixed an issue in Frequency Hopping mode where adding a non-sleepy device will make the network unstable
TIMAC-1448 Added DEFAULT_ADVERTISING_INTERVAL define in config.h
TIMAC-1429 Added variable I2C_count to the board file
TIMAC-1428 Example applications allow to configure the BOOST_MODE for 14dBm output power
TIMAC-1398 Optimized operation in beacon mode, where after sync loss RFD would still wake up every Beacon Interval
TIMAC-1330 Resolved the issue where removing USE_UART_PRINTF compile flag results in errors
TIMAC-1328 Fixed an issue for MAC CoProcessor where bad FCS in NPI transaction could cause memory leak.
TIMAC-1327 Fixed an issue where in rare cases stack may need to be reset after power up due to a lock up condition.
TIMAC-1138 Optimized power consumption for 15.4 MAC by allowing Radio to power down during CSMA backoff

Known Issues

ID Summary
SDKSYSAPPS-130 OAD UI in some cases do not show message failure
