The Crypto-Bootloader (CryptoBSL) is a custom bootloader that was developed and implemented on MSP430FR59xx and MSP430FR69xx FRAM microcontrollers. This bootloader uses cryptographic functions to enable increased security for in-field firmware updates..
This software package includes all necessary source code and sample applications that are required to use and customize the bootloader.
This document is divided into the following sections:
The MSP Crypto Bootloader package contains the following components.

This release is a GA version.
The examples may be built with IAR.
To build the bootloader firmware, navigate to ~\firmware\MSP430FR59xx_69xx\IAR\CryptoBSL and open the cryptobsl workspace in IAR.
To build application examples, navigate to ~\Sample_App and open the Sample_App workspace in IAR.
To encrypt and test the demo, follow the step-by-step guide described in Crypto-Bootloader (CryptoBSL) for MSP430FR59xx and MSP430FR69xx MCUs User's Guide.
