User Reference Manual
PLC Projects for the EtherNet/IP Adapter Example

Introduction

The following sections describe the steps to configure projects that contain one PLC that implementing EtherNet/IP Scanner functionality and one SITARA AM64x based EtherNet/IP Adapter device.

Examples are provided for CODESYS IEC 61131 development and runtime environments executing on Texas Instruments AM64x evaluation boards (SK-AM64, TMDS64GPEVM), an industrial RevPi Connect hardware (https://revolution.kunbus.com/) by KUNBUS GmbH, and an Allen-Bradley CompactLogix L16ER PLC that is configured and programmed from the RSLogix 5000 development environment.

NOTE:
In Version CT18.1 of the ODVA Automatic Test Tool the type of the configuration file was changed from STC to SOC.
For this reason, the old stc directory was removed and replaced by a new soc directory. The older configuration files in STC format are still retained in the soc directory for compatibility reasons with ODVA test tools CT17 or earlier.

EDS file(s) can be found in the following path: mcu_plus_sdk\source\industrial_comms\ethernetip_adapter\stack\eds

SOC file(s) required for the ODVA CT18.1 can be found in the following path: mcu_plus_sdk\source\industrial_comms\ethernetip_adapter\stack\soc
