TI's SimpleLink CC32XX products allows programmers to develop
applications without any prior Wi-Fi, RF or networking expertise
CC32XX includes set of networking infrastructure applications
and services working above a comprehensive TCP/IP network stack
Contains highly reliable underlying Wi-Fi driver (security supplicant included)
TI has taken an immense effort to simplify the APIs for the programmer to allow
true and rapid IOT applications programming development
All communication layers in TI's SimpleLink CC32XX platform are standard, proven and certified
to ensure that their operation will not compromise the robustness of the application
802.11 b/g/n integrated radio, modem, and MAC supporting WLAN communication in the 2.4-Ghz band
Supports WiFi Station,Soft AP and WiFi direct modes
Supports all Wi-Fi security modes for personal networks:WEP,WPA,WPA2 and WPS for Home or Enterprise networks
CC32xx supports a profile table consists of up to 7 profile entries ordered by their priority
Connects to the highest device will connect to the profile configured with highest priority found by the SimpleLink device
Uses standard BSD compliance sockets APIs
Support for SSL/TLS/TTLS using a single API
Supports Internal Web server
Contains internal networking applications like DHCP server(for AP role), DNS, mDNS
Integrated external Serial Flash stores firmware patch, network configuration, MAC address and connection profiles
Programmable over APIs from the host
Can store user data accessible from host application in secured or non secured modes
Connection policy (how to connect to the AP)-auto (using profiles as described above) or fast(returning to the last known connection)
Wi-Fi scanning policy for determines the time interval between consequent failed connection attempts
Power management policy - determines the system behavior from a power perspective (normal, low latency, low power or always on)
TI's SmartConfig™ allows to connect a CC32XX device without any user interface to an existing Wi-Fi infrastructure (AP)
Using SmartConfig™ technology, a one-step and one-time process enables to connect a CC32XX device to any wireless network
Power management policy - determines the system behavior from a power perspective (normal, low latency, low power or always on)
Wi-Fi enabled device (smartphone, tablet or a laptop) application is used to send the required AP's information to the CC32XX device
SmartConfig™ can also be used to associate multiple CC32XX devices to the same AP simultaneously
