General Information

This service release includes the contents of the following Chip Support Packages (CSPs):

  • OMAP3430
    • Note: Users wishing to compile programs specific to the Cortex8 or Neon targets should upgrade their version of the TI compiler to the 4.4 series of compiler which can be found here
Release notes specific to CCS' XDS560 Trace functionality can be found here.

Attention Users of Third Party Emulators

Users of Blackhawk and Spectrum Digital Emulators will need to update their 560 drivers after installing SR2.

Known Issues

  • SDSCM00014180:  h2t and t2h examples do not run on C64+ of DaVinci (DM6446) connected via Rev D JTAG in HS RTDX mode
    • Component: Installer
    • Target: C5500
    • Release Note: HS-RTDX fails to work on XDS560 Rev D cable with a TCLK rate of 35 MHz.
    • Work Around: To enable HS-RTDX run with a TCLK rate of 30 MHz instead of 35MHz. The clock rate can be modified in CCS Setup

  • SDSCM00017640:  Service Release 2 Crashes when starting up with a configuration name longer than 20 characters
    • Component: Emulation
    • Target: C6400
    • Release Note: If the target configuration for CCS contains a board whose name surpasses 20 characters than CCS will crash during startup.
    • Work Around: To prevent the issue ensure that the name of all configured boards in the system are no longer than 20 characters. The board name can be modified in CCS Setup
