Description

Bi-directional 3-phase 3-level ANPC-type Active Front End can enable high efficiency and reduced size of the power stage in applications such as solar inverters, energy storage systems and bi-directional on-board chargers.

This reference design provides an overview of the digital control implementation of a bidirectional three-phase, three-level, active neutral point clamped (ANPC) inverter/PFC stage. The design uses a GaN power stage with LCL output filter. The PWM switching frequency for the GaN power stage is 100kHz. The design shows complete implementation of three phase ANPC Inverter/PFC control in the DQ domain using a C2000™ TMS320F280049C real-time MCU.
