Update Advisor: DVSDK v1.30.01 GA

General Information

This DVSDK Software release coupled with the Demonstration Version of Montavista Linux Pro v4.0.1 for DaVinci gives developer's the ability to evaluate the hardware and software capabilities of the DaVinci platform. This release supports both the DM355 / DM335 (ARM only) and DM6446 (ARM + DSP) platforms.

Important Notice: DM355 EVM now supports DM335

DM335 users can start development today using the same DM355 Evaluation Module hardware.

The DVSDK v1.30.01 GA release includes the following components:

xDAIS v6.00 developers kit - eXpress DSP Algorithm Interface standard including the xDM v1.00 digital media interface extensions

Production Codecs (xDM v1.00)

MPEG4 Simple Profile Encode/Decode

JPEG Encode / Decode

Codec Engine v2.00 - Framework for creating and interacting with multimedia codecs, running either
locally or on another processor (DSP), via a Linux C-callable API that reflects the base XDM interfaces
cmem v2.00 - Contiguous memory allocator for Linux

Demo applications that illustrate usage of the Linux drivers and codecs

A/V data - Contains A/V clips and other data files needed by the demo applications.
Examples showing basic usage of MPEG4 and JPEG codecs

Download Information

Download each of the product installers listed below and follow the instructions listed in the release notes and Getting Started Guide.

Please note that the Demonstration Version of MontaVista Linux 4.0.1 System Tools are the same as provided with the DM6446 DVSDK. If this version is already installed on your system or you have the licensed version of MontaVista Pro v4.0.1, it is not necessary to re-install the development tools.

NOTE: DVSDK v1.30.01 supports DM355 and DM6446 DVEVMs. See list below for all related files.
