Introduction

SimpleLink™ CC13x2 Software Development Kit (SDK) is a set of software development tools that enables engineers to develop software applications on the SimpleLink CC13x2 family of dual-band and Sub-1GHz wireless microcontrollers (MCUs). This powerful software toolkit provides a cohesive and consistent software experience for all SimpleLink CC13x2 users by packaging essential software components, such as the TI 15.4 Stack with Frequency Hopping, RF-Proprietary examples and Bluetooth® low energy (BLE) protocol stack supporting Bluetooth 5.

Operating System Support

The SimpleLink CC13x2 SDK 2.30.00.45 supports development on the following operating systems. Refer to the individual component release notes in the Document Overview for each component’s supported operating system platform(s).

Upgrade and Compatibility Information

Pre-production release. No support for CC13x2 wireless MCUs with silicon revision PG1.0.

SDK version 2.30.00.45 is the last planned SDK release that will support pre-production PG1.1 silicon for the CC13x2 and CC26x2 devices. Any version after version 2.30.00.45 can not guarantee software compatibility with pre-production PG1.1 silicon.

Dependencies

SimpleLink CC13x2 SDK 2.30.00.45 was built and tested using the following Integrated Development Environment (IDE) and tool chain components. Refer to the individual component release notes in the Document Overview for each component’s supported code generation tools. Using an IDE version or TI-RTOS version not listed below may result in compatibility issues with this SDK release.

Versioning

This product’s version follows a version format, M.mm.pp.bb, where M is a single digit Major number, mm is 2 digit minor number, pp is a 2 digit patch number, and b is an unrestricted set of digits used as an incrementing build counter.

M - Is incremented for the first release every year. 1 -> 2017, 2 -> 2018, and so on..

mm - indicates the specific quarter of the year the SDK was released. 10 -> Q1; 20 -> Q2; 30 -> Q3; 40 -> Q4
