Introduction
SimpleLink™ CC13x2 Software Development Kit (SDK) is a set of software development tools that enables engineers to develop software applications on the SimpleLink CC13x2 family of dual-band and Sub-1GHz wireless microcontrollers (MCUs). This powerful software toolkit provides a cohesive and consistent software experience for all SimpleLink CC13x2 users by packaging essential software components, such as the TI 15.4 Stack with Frequency Hopping, RF-Proprietary examples and Bluetooth® low energy (BLE) protocol stack supporting Bluetooth 5.

What’s New
- Secure off-chip OAD for BLE5-Stack. This feature allows images to be signed and verified in order to ensure firmware updates are from a trusted source.
- The multirole example for the BLE5-Stack now supports advertising, scanning and initiating connections on all supported PHYs and any combination of supported PHYs.
- Native OAD for TI-OpenThread, enabling network node firmware updates.
- Support for Z-Stack, TI’s Zigbee® 3.0 compliant protocol suite. (This feature was previously contained in a separate plug-in.) Visit www.ti.com/zigbee to learn more about the benefits of Zigbee 3.0.
- Dynamic Multi-protocol Manager (DMM) support for non-beacon mode and 2.4 GHz mode for the TI 15.4 stack role
- Sysconfig 1.0 example projects have been added for the following stacks: BLE5-Stack, Easylink, Thread and TI 15.4-Stack. SysConfig is a graphical tool for configuring your project in CCS.

Upgrade and Compatibility Information
Pre-production release. No support for CC13x2 wireless MCUs with silicon revision PG1.0.
SDK version 2.30.00.45 is the last planned SDK release that will support pre-production PG1.1 silicon for the CC13x2 and CC26x2 devices. Any version after version 2.30.00.45 can not guarantee software compatibility with pre-production PG1.1 silicon.

SimpleLink CC13x2 SDK 2.30.00.45 was built and tested using the following Integrated Development Environment (IDE) and tool chain components. Refer to the individual component release notes in the Document Overview for each component’s supported code generation tools. Using an IDE version or TI-RTOS version not listed below may result in compatibility issues with this SDK release.

Known Issues
For all SDK components, the importing of IAR projects through dev.ti.com is currently unsupported. Refer to the SDK Change Log for known issues of each of the SDK components.
When using a CC1352R1 LaunchPad™, please note that the RF switch consumes approximately 1.5 uA which must be accounted for when doing power measurements. An alternative implementation where the switch is powered from an IO will remove this added current consumption.

Versioning
This product’s version follows a version format, M.mm.pp.bb, where M is a single digit Major number, mm is 2 digit minor number, pp is a 2 digit patch number, and b is an unrestricted set of digits used as an incrementing build counter.
M - Is incremented for the first release every year. 1 -> 2017, 2 -> 2018, and so on..
mm - indicates the specific quarter of the year the SDK was released. 10 -> Q1; 20 -> Q2; 30 -> Q3; 40 -> Q4
