Description

The USB Developers Package for MSP430 is a software package that contains all necessary source code and sample applications that are required to start developing a USB-based MSP430 project. The package only supports MSP430 USB devices.

Features

USB Field Firmware Updater - Allows customers to easily customize and release an installer package for upgrading MSP430-based devices in the field, using the MSP430's on-chip USB bootstrap loader (BSL). The package contains all necessary source code to enable quick and easy custom modification.
Windows HID API (Human Interface Device class) - A Windows API that makes it easy for a USB host PC to communicate with an MSP430-based device running the MSP430 HID API stack, including an example application. It is designed to make HID easy for general-purpose USB communication.

Each software package has an accompanying application note documentation that is separate from this package.

New in 3.11.00

New MSC feature. The USB API now supports CDROM by supporting a subset of the MultiMedia Command Set. A new M5 example demonstrates the new CDROM feature.
The USB Stack now supports a Non-composite mode where we have multiple interfaces with a single active interface at any given time.
The MSC stack now supports double buffering. A new example M4 has been added that demonstrates this feature.
Added flow control to Usb to Uart Bridge example.
CDC interface has new handler to support change to RTS (Set Control Line State command).
