DSP Link is foundation software for the inter-processor communication across the GPP-DSP boundary. It provides a generic API that abstracts the characteristics of the physical link connecting GPP and DSP from the applications. It eliminates the need for customers to develop such link from scratch and allows them to focus more on application development.
The DSP/BIOS RTOS is expected to be running on the DSP.
The following documentation is available:
In addition, users are encouraged to monitor (and contribute to!) the TI Embedded Processors Wiki.
The following significant changes have been made since 1.65
|SDOCM00093829||WinCE file drv_pmgr.c has too many closing curly braces "}" for "case CMD_IDM_ACQUIREID:" in DRV_CallAPI()|
|SDOCM00096486||Cleanup dpc functions when application terminated with non-catchable signal|
|SDOCM00092960||DSPLink API RingIO_open() can crash system when iterating beyond valid procId|
|SDOCM00092914||Send terminate event notification from host to dsp|
|SDOCM00081491||Need to update DSPLink kernel module to conform to newer unlocked_ioctl interface|
|SDOCM00084658||Memory leak when using COFF_MEM_LOADER option|
This DSP Link release is suitable for BIOS 5-based DVSDKs.
This release supports the following devices. Note that for licensing reasons, different OS's may require you to obtain different downloads (e.g. Linux downloads are licensed GPL, but WinCE downloads are licensed BSD).
Other devices and configurations supported in DSP Link 1.65.00.03 should also be supported. Device support was not removed, although validation of this release is limited.
This release was built and validated against using the following software components:
This release was validated using the following hardware platforms. Note that other devices and configurations supported in DSP Link 1.65.00.03 should also be supported. Device support was not removed, although validation of this release was limited.
Consult the SDOWP database for open issues.
This product's version follows a version format, M.mm.pp.bb, where M is a single digit Major number, mm is 2 digit minor number, pp is a 2 digit patch number, and b is an unrestricted set of digits used as an incrementing build counter.
To support multiple side-by-side installations of the product, the product version is encoded in the top level directory, ex. dsplink_1_65_02_09.
Subsequent releases of patch upgrades will be identified by the patch number, ex. DSP Link 1.65.01.XX with directory dsplink_1_65_01_XX. Typically, these patches only include critical bug fixes.
