The binaries in the package(.zip) are from HDVPSS 1_00_01_44.patch release.
HDVPSS 1_00_01_44 had a memory corruption bug which resulted in an error while loading vpss.ko on TI814X devices.
This issue is fixed in HDVPSS 1_00_01_44.patch release. 
This is the only change between HDVPSS 1_00_01_44  and HDVPSS 1_00_01_44.patch .
